Notification of Pending Changes to the Emergency Response Data System In accordance with Subsection 3.b of 10 CFR 50 Appendix E Section VI, 'Emergency Response Data System," Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) is providing notification of pending changes to the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) that could potentially affect ERDS transmission format or computer protocol. Currently, the ERDS program transmits data coll6cted and formatted by me Point History program with data retrieved from the Station process computer. A revised ERDS interface will transmit data collected and formatted by PI Data Historian. PI Data Historian receives data from Plant Process Computer. Data points transmitted by ERDS will remain as currently provided with the exception of:

Braidwood Ul No Changes Braidwood U2 AM01 3 will be replaced by AM01 2 AM015 will be replaced by AM014 Additionally, computer protocol has been upgraded to meet the requirements of NUREG 1394, Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) Implementation, Section Il.B.1 Data Transmission.

The interface program is being initially tested in a computer lab with subsequent live transmission testing to follow. Testing with Scientech in Idaho is scheduled between July 28 and August 8, 2003.

Implementation at Braidwood Station for both Units 1 and 2 is scheduled for September 11, 2003.
