-7-The referenced instruments were inspected in accordance, with NRC ,'

requirements'and the attributes listed below:

'

,

(1) Location, configuration, and in'stallation are according to the latest approved . design and construction drawing .

(2) Specified instrument components and associated items had _been; use ._

(3) Components had been correctly and permanently identified.-

(4) Cleanliness requirements had been ma'intained or otherwise satisfie (5) Installed equipment was adequately protected from adjacent construction activities and protective coatings, plugs, bushings, and other materials had been osed as specifie (6) Nonconforming components or conditions had been identified and controlled in accordance with approved procedure The NRC inspector observed during this inspection that the following instruments were of concern as listed below:

(1) PT-7411 - had a 1/2" pipe plug missing out of the manifold test port. The plug was taped to the instrumen (2) FT-205 - vent valve plugs were missin (3) FT-417, FT-418, FT-419 - had excessive amount of debris (metal l shavings, dust, dirt) on the transmitters and associated tubin (4) FT-867 - manifold valve was missing two 1/4" tubing plugs on test connection The NRC inspector discussed the above findings with the senior resident inspector. The senior resident inspector stated that a violation (498/8631-01) had been issued pertaining to similar

' concerns in the area of housekeeping. The licensee's response to the referenced violation by letter dated November 26, 1986, indicated a

,

commitment to an aggressive program which would properly control the i preservation of installed equipment. At the time of this inspection,

! the licensee was still in the process of implementing these commitments.

l'

The above issues will be reviewed in conjunction with the NRC followuponviolation(498/8631-01).

No violations or deviations'were identified.
