Insoection Summary Areas Insoected (Units 1 and 2): Routine, announced inspection of the licensee's physical security program. The areas inspected included training and qualifications, access control-personnel, access control-packages, access control-vehicles, testing and maintenance, physical barriers-protected area, and detection aids-protected area.

Results (Units 1 and 2):

The overall training program was adequate, but classroom training was

weak (Section 1.1).

A very efficient program was maintained for searching delivered packages

and material (Section 1.3).

A good program was established to provide control of vehicles inside the

protected area (Section 1.4).

An excellent test and maintenance program was maintained that ensured

  • security systems were maintained at their maximum effectiveness (Section 1.5).

An excellent perimeter detection system was maintained (Section 1.7).
