SUBJECT: REPORT N0. 50-414/85-08 Thank you for your response of May 25, 1985, to our Notice of Violation issued on April 25, 1985, concerning activities conducted at your corporate office related to the Catawba faci'ity under NRC Construction Permit No. CPPR-117.
Confirming our telephone conversation with Mr. K. Louvin of your staff on June 4, 1985, we understand that the term " surveyed" in your response means a survey performed by Duke Power Company which may be more in-depth than an audit and, therefore, meets all quality assurance audit requirements. Based on this understanding, we have evaluated your response and found that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201.
We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions during future inspections.
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
