Subject: Inspection 50-412/83-04 This refers to your ietter dated June 20, 1983, in response to our letter dated May 8, 1983.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your lette. These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your Itcensed program. Based on a conversation on June 27, 1983 between R.
Coupland of Duquesne Light Company, P. Bishop of Stone and Webster Corporation, and G. Walton of this office, we understand that the new requirements and pro-cedures addressing the use of temporary pipe supports to prevent possible over-stressing from dead weight will also be applied to existing installed piping.
If your understanding of this matter is different than as stated above, please contact us upon receipt of this letter.
