Dear Mr. Conte:

STATUS OF PROCEDURE CilANGES DISCUSSED IN INSPECTION REPORT 354/92-08 IlOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION Inspection Report 354/92-08, Section 4.0 issued July 15, 1992 provides a discussion of "Licensco Actions On Previously Identified Findings". Specifically, the discussion relates to unresolved items involving technical adequacy of deviations from the BWROG Emergency Procedure Guidelines.

Three concerns were identified in the Inspection Report, including; entry condition for RPV Control procedure (EOP-101),

exclusion of identified systems from Secondary Containment Control procedure (EOP-103), and procedural guidance on the necessity to terminate and prevent injection of the HPCI system during an Anticipated Transient Without Scram event.

At the time of the inspection, PSE&G indicated that the expected completion date tc eddress these concerns was November 199.

Since that time, personnel assigned to resolve these issues have been diverted to be extensively involved in BWROG issues related to Generic Letter 92-04.

On November 22, 1992, during a telephone conversation betwcon Mr. Carl Sisco of your staff and Mr. David Smith of PSE&G, we requested to revise this due date to February 28, 1993 in an effort to ensure high quality of our EOPs without disrupting operator training programs. This letter hereby documents Mr. Sisco's concurrence with this request.

Thank you for your cooperation and consideration in this matter.

Sincerely, YF. X.kThomson, Jr.
