Routine Resident Inspection 50-336/88-16 (6/14 - 7/29/88)
This transmits the report of the above subject inspection of Millstone 2.
The in-spection findings have been discussed with Messrs. S. Scace and J. Keenan of your staff. No violations were cited, and no reply to this letter is required.
During this inspection, we noted good responsiveness to NRC Information Notices, especially in regard to reactor trip breakers (Report Detail 11.0). We also noted that good initiative was evident in the undertaking of a safety system functional self-assessment on the Reactor Building Component Cooling Water (RBCCW) system, and we look forward to seeing the results of that effort.
