Subject: Inspection No. 50-293/85-32 This refers to your letter dated January 28, 1986, in response to our letter dated December 31,,1985.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter. These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed program.
Regarding the violation described in Appendix A of our letter, we understand that a causal link has been identified between this violation and at least four similar previous events described in Licensee Event Reports.
In response to this causal link, Boston Edison executive management has directed that a task be undertaken to review existing Technical Specifications and ensure that appropriate procedures are established to implement the specifications. This task is anticipated to start in March 1986 and be completed by September 1986.
If this is not your understanding, please notify this office within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
