Area Inspected:
Special inspection to review licensee's action relative to a licensee identified degraded Vital Area barrier. The inspection involved 12 hours1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br /> onsite by one region based inspector.
Results:
The licensee was not in compliance with NRC regulations in the area examined (failure to maintain an adequate vital area barrier).

Failure to establish and maintain the integrity of a vital area barrier is a violation of NRC requirements.

MC 92700 - Vital Area Survey Due to the deficiencies found as described above, the inspector requested the licensee to perform a vital area barrier survey throughout the plant.
The results of that survey were provided to the inspector prior to the conclusion of the inspection. The survey identified several questionable barriers and some deficiencies in other vital area barriers. The licensee stated that these will be promptly corrected (Inspector Followup Item 50-293/85-24-02).
