Date and Manner AEC was Informed:

The licensee telephoned the inspector at 9:40 a.m. on September 25, 1972.

B.

Descriotion of Particular Event or Circumstance:

An anonymous telephone call was received at the construction site stritchboard at 7:55 a.m. on September 25, 1972. The caller stated that a bomb had been placed near the main aisle in the Turbine Building.

C.

Action by Licensee:

The licensee evacuated all personnel from the Turbine Building and f rom the area immediately surrounding it.

The Pennsylvania State Police were notified and they reported to the site.

The National Guard Explosive Disposal Unit was notified, and they arrived at the site. A search for the bomb was conducted by the constructor's em-playees, and none was found. The evacuation was cancelled and the site returned to normal before noontime same day.
