McAlpNne, Chief \\ Date Signed Material Control and Accountability Section Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards Branch Division of Radiation Safety and Safeguards SUMMARY Scope: This was a combined routine and special announced onsite ' inspection to evaluate the licensee's overall nuclear material accountability and control program and to followup on a shipment of special nuclear material (SNM) to another licensed facility.
Results: Several related violations were identified concerning failure to develop and follow procedures to adequately control special nuclear material.
A previous _occurance in the area had resulted in special attention by the NRC as reported in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 50-259/86-38, 50-260/86-38, 50-296/86-38.
