Inspection Report No. 50-244 85-05 This refers to your letter dated May 10, 1985, in response to our letter dated April 11, 1985.

As discussed by telephone on May 23, 1985, with Mr. S. Spector of your staff, our position is that the single point load test performed on Dillon Load cell s/n LAB-2791 constituted a functional test and is not considered a valid cali-bration of the equipment, therefore the violation remains as written.
The technical justification provided to us for accepting the modified spent fuel, racks based on te'sts performed with the load cell is acceptable.
The corrective measures documented in your letter appear to be satisfactory and will be examined in a future inspection of your licensed program.
