Dear Sir or Madam:

This letter requests the NRC approval of a correction to-typographical errors in Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Technical Specifications which were inadvertently introduced during License Amendment 191 (Reference 1).

It was not addressed in the notice to public nor reviewed by the NRC and falls within the scope of the guidance provided in SECY-96-238 (Reference 3) for corrections.

Attachement 1 describes the typographical errors and corrections. Attachment 2 provides a marked-up of the Technical Specification pages. Attachment 3 provides a clean copy of the Technical Specification pages. Entergy will issue the change notification to all holders of controlled copies of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Technical Specifications upon receipt of NRC approval of these corrections.

Requested Action Consistent with the information contained in SECY-96-238, Grand Gulf Nuclear Station is requesting correction for two inadvertent typographical errors that were introduced into the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Technical Specification.

B. Typographical Error Two typographical errors were introduced into the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Technical Specification (TS) during License Amendment 191 Reference 1). The specification of the errors and proposed" corrections are described below.

TS Table of Content page iv Amendment 191 did not include the listing for Technical Specification 3.7.7, Main Turbine Bypass System.

This error was not noticed to the public nor approved by the NRC during review and approval of Amendment 191.

TS Table of Content page xi Amendment 191 did not include the listing for Technical Specification B 3.7.7, Main Turbine Bypass System.

This error was not noticed to the public nor approved by the NRC during review and approval of Amendment 191.

C. Corrections to the Affected Technical Specification Pages SECY96-238, (Reference 1) provides guidance to correct inadvertent typographical errors in the Technical Specification pages.

The above typographical errors were not noticed to the public nor reviewed by the NRC as part the application amendment process. Therefore it may be corrected without a license amendment.

Accordingly, upon approval from the NRC, corrected TS table of content pages iv and xi will be distributed to all holders of controlled TS.
