3. TXU Electric letter logged TXX-02086 from Mr. C. L. Terry to NRC dated May 1, 2002 Gentlemen:

On August 17, 1995, the NRC issued Generic Letter 95-07, "Pressure Locking and Thermal Binding of Safety Related Power Operated Gate Valves" (Reference 1). In response to the requirements of the Generic Letter, TXU Generation Company LP (TXU Energy) committed to modify the Residual Heat Removal System crosstie isolation valves 1/2-8716-A/B (Reference 2). In Reference 3, TXU Energy reported that the committed activities were completed for CPSES Unit 2.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the committed activities for CPSES Unit 1 have now been completed.

This communication contains no new licensing basis commitments regarding CPSES Units 1 and 2.
