Dear Sir:

In the above referenced letter, Florida Power Corporation (FPC) committed to complete the development of the Crystal River Unit 3 (CR-3) Analysis / Calculation Upgrade Program by June 19, j l 1998, and notify the NRC of the scheduled completion date. l The Program was completed and approved by FPC Engineering management on June 11,1998. f '

Under the Program guidelines, the analyses / calculations have been prioritized by safety significance. Analyses / calculations that have already been upgraded or are covered by other ongoing site programs are not included. The Program completion date is December 18, 2003 (this commitment is contained in the Attachment to this letter). Additional details are in our Analysis / Calculation Upgrade Program document, which is available on site.
