Request for additional information - MD9746 (RR-66) and MD9748 (RR-68) (Farley, Unit 1)

In reviewing your letter NL-08-1300 dated September 22, 2008, specifically enclosure 4 (for relief request RR-66) and enclosure 6 (for RR-68), the NRC staff has determined the need to review the drawings identified below in boldface.

Unfortunately, the scanning technology and resulting resolution for the drawings previously docketed is not adequate for the intended review. We therefore request hardcopy (paper) media for the purposes of the review.

The supplemental submittal of the drawings indicated in boldface will be issued current ADAMS Accession Numbers for reference as docketed information for the subject licensing actions. A description of the requested information follows.

Sketches indicating the locations and interferences for weld numbers:

1. ALA1-1100-1 The earlier submittal of this information was as ALA1-1100-1 as part of RR-37, approved per NRC Letter dated 01/12/99 (reference TACs MB98858 and MB98859) and

2. ALA1-1100-8 The earlier submittal of this information was part of RR-56, approved per NRC Letter dated 05/19/05 (reference TACs MB0738 and MC2559).

Drawings associated with the replaced reactor vessel are not requested.

At this time the reviewer who requested this information is ready to use it. Therefore, please propose a response date that is as soon as practical.

Thank you for your assistance in providing previously docketed documentation from which the reviewer can obtain current information for processing the subject licensing action.
