REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ON PROPOSED EXEMPTION FROM THE REVISED EMERGENCY PLANNING RULE FOR THE LACROSSE BOILING WATER REACTOR (TAC NO. J00438)
By letter dated June 18, 2012, Dairyland Power Cooperative submitted a request for exemption from specific requirements of 10 CFR Part 50.47, Emergency Plans and 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Emergency Planning and Preparedness for Production and Utilization Facilities. The exemption request was predicated by the issuance of a Final Rule promulgating Enhancements to Emergency Preparedness Regulations in the Federal Register on November 23, 2011. Please review the request and provide a Safety Evaluation by December 20, 2012. A copy of the request is enclosed.
