2.REVIEWREgUIREHENTSItem2.1(Part2)(ReactorTripSystem-VendorInterface)requireslicenseesandapplicantstoestabl1sh,1mplementandma1nta1nacontinu1ngprogramtoensurethatvendor1nformat1ononReactorTr1pSystem(RTS)components1scomplete,currentandcontrolledthroughoutthe11feoftheplant,andappropriatelyreferencedor1ncorporatedinplantinstructionsandprocedures.Thevendor1nterfaceprogram1sto1ncludeperlod1ccemunicationsw1thvendorstoassurethatallapplicableinformationhasbeenreceived,aswellasasystemofposit1vefeedbackwithvendorsformailingsconta1ningtechn1cal1nformation,e.g.,licensee/applicantacknowledgementforreceiptoftechnicalinformation.ThatpartofthevendorinterfaceprogramwhichensuresthatvendorinformationonRTScomponents,onceacqu1red,isappropriatelycontrolled,referencedand1ncorporatedinplant1nstruct1onsandprocedures,w111beevaluatedaspartoftherev1ewofItem2.2oftheGenericLetter.BecausetheNuclearSteamSystemSupplier(NSSS)1sord1narilyalsothesuppl1eroftheent1reRTS,theNSSS1salsotheprincipalsourceof1nformationonthecomponentsoftheRTS.Th1srev1ewofthe11censeeandappl1cantsubmittalsw1ll:Il.Confirmthatthelicensee/appl1canthas1dentifiedan1nterfacewithe1thertheNSSSorw1ththevendorsofeachofthecomponentsoftheReactorTr1pSystem.2.Conf1rmthatthe1nterface1dentifiedby11censees/applicants1ncludesper1od1cco@municationwiththeNSSSorwiththevendorsofeachofthecomponentsoftheReactorTr1pSystem.3.Conf1rmthattheinterface1dent1fiedbyl1censees/appl1cants1ncludes'systemofpositivefeedbacktoconf1rmreceiptoftransm1ttalsoftechnical1nformation.

3.GROUPREVIEWRESULTSTherelevantsubm1ttalsfromeachofthe1ncludedreactorplantswererev1ewedtodeterm1necompl1ancew1thItem2.1(Part2).F1rst,thesubm1ttalsfromeachplantwererev1ewedtoestabl1shthatItem2.1(Part2)wasspec1f1callyaddressed.Second,thesubm1ttalswereevaluatedtodeterm1netheextenttowh1cheachoftheplantscompl1esw1ththestaffgu1del1nesforItem2.1(Part2).

4.REVIEWRESULTSFORD.C.COOK-lAND-24.1Evaluat1onIndianaandMichiganElectricCompany,the11censeeforD.C.Cook,providedtheirresponsestoItem2.l(Part2)oftheGener1cLetteronarch30,1984,Apr1l10,1985,andDecember31,1986.Inthoseresponses,the11censeedescribestheD.C.Cookinterfaceprogramestabl1shedfortheRTS.The1nterfaceprogramfortheRTSdescr1bed1ncludesannualcontactwitheachRTS.componentvendorandasystemofpos1t1vefeedbackw1ththecomponentvendors.4.2ConclusionWef1ndtheprogramdescribed1nthel1censee'ssubmittalforthe1nterfaceprogramfortheRTSmeetsthestaffpos1tiononItem2.1(Part2)oftheGenericLetterand1s,therefore,acceptable.

5.REVIEI4RESULTSFORHADOAHHECK5.lEvaluat1onConnect1cutYankeeAtom1cPowerCompany,the11censeeforHaddamNeck,providedthe1rresponsestoItem2.l(Part2)oftheGener1cLetteronNovember8,1983,andHarch5,1987.Inthoseresponses,thelicenseeconf1rmsthattheNSSSforHaddamNeck1sWestinghouseandthattheReactorTripSystem(RTS)forHaddamNeck1sincludedasapartofthewestinghouseinterfaceprogramestabl1shedfortheHaddamNeckNSSS.TheWestinghouse1nterfaceprogramfortheNSSSincludesbothper1odiccomnunicationbetweenWestinghouseandlicensees/appl1cantsandposit1vefeedbackfromlicensees/appl1cants1ntheformofsignedrece1ptsfortechnicalinformat1ontransm1ttedbyWestinghouse.5.2ConclusionMefindthe11censee'sconf1rmingstatementthatHaddamNeckisapart1cipantintheWestinghouse1nterfaceprogramfortheRPSmeetsthestaffpos1tiononItem2.1(Part2)oftheGener1cLetterandis,therefore,acceptable.
