Apagndix A Notice of Violation.-
The Authority responded'to the Notice and disagreed with the second violation (Reference 2).-
-In your letter dated October 2, 1990 (Reference 1) you advised the Authority that, upon further review, you would not withdraw the contested violation and that the Authority was required to respond to'the violation.
The Authority will. implement PORC review of radiation protection procedures referenced in Regulatory Guide 1.33 dated Nove.mner 1972.
This task potentially involves 130 procedures and will b it a substantial burden for PORC.
The Authority will review the radiological procedures against the criteria of Regulatory cuide
'
1.33 to determine which procedures specifically require PORC review.
The PORC review of the major programmatic radiological procedures (e.g.
radiation work permits, radiological surveys,
etc.) referenced in. Regulatory Guide 1.33 will be completed by
'
March 31, 991.

procedures requiring PORC review will be implemented as each procedure undergoes its next revision or biennial review.
This process will be completed by October 31, 1992.
The Authority intends to request a
change to Technical Specifications to clarify the requirement for PORC review of these procedures.-
