FEB 2 21985 Telecon with rk Wals n 2/15/85 At the direction of V. Noonan, I placed a call to rk Wals on 2/15/85 at 1200 ET to invite him to meet with the TRT, in Dallas, to discuss his a
concerns. Mr. Wals (indicated he could meet with us, but would not be able to meet, except in the evening.
I tentatively arranged a meeting with him on 2/26/85 at 6:15 pm at the airport hotel in Dallas.

At the direction of V. Noonan, I calle rk Wal to cancel the previously (2/15/85) arranged meeting with him in Dallas. He indicated he has no problems with the change of events. He indicated he wanted to have confidentiality with any such meeting because he was concerned about retaliation by the utility.
I attempted to indicate that most issues he has identified are well known and as such NRC is now attempting to. bring all parties together so that the resolution of significant issues can be expedited. He asked that any future meetings be scheddled on days other than Tuesday or Thursday since he would no longer be available on those days.
I told him we would be contacting him in the near future regarding a new neeting date.
