Subject:

[External_Sender] Proposed License Amendment Request, Nuclear Fuel Services, Docket No.70-143 Date: Wednesday, January 25, 2023 5:03:12 PM Honorable ALB Panel Chair and NRC Rulemaking & Adjudications Staff:

I am submitting a limited appearance statement in order to make the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board aware of my concerns at issue in this proceeding.

As a past resident of Johnson City for the past 41 years, I am totally opposed to the request of Nuclear Fuels to begin production of uranium for bomb manufacturing. I love the Erwin area, the nature trails, the Appalachian Trail, the recreation and beauty of the Nolichucky River and so much more.

The natural beauty of the area brings tourism and relocation which results in economic growth. To allow NRC this license for production is to kill the potential of our community and surrounding communities. How absurd and ridiculous to put such a plant here!

I am extremely opposed and will do whats in my power to stop additional manufacturing of war, destruction and death to nature and people.

Sincerely,
