April 25, 2023 NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING Licensee: DTE Electric Company Facility: Fermi Power Plant, Unit 2 Docket No: 50-341 Date and Time: Wednesday, June 21, 2023 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. (EDT)
Location: Monroe County Board of Commissioners Chambers Monroe County Courthouse 125 East Second Street Monroe, MI 48161
Purpose:
The NRC staff will host an open house meeting to discuss the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Fermi Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 2 for 2022, as described in the 2022 annual assessment letter. The NRC will be available to respond to questions specific to the safety performance of the station and the NRCs role in ensuring safe plant operations.
NRC Attendees: Karla K. Stoedter, Chief, Reactor Projects Branch 2, Division of Operating Reactor Safety Thomas Taylor, Senior Resident Inspector, Fermi, Unit 2 John Gewargis, Resident Inspector, Fermi, Unit 2 Others as designated Public Participation: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues.
Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments toward regulatory decisions at this meeting.
