TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE REQUEST - REVISION TO FNMCP

' The FCSS Special Projects Branch requests technical assistance in reviewing the following project:

Project: Certificate Amendment Request for the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant to revise the Fundamental Nuclear Materials Control Plan (FNMCP) and a Compliance Plan issue related to the FNMCP Casework /RITS/ TAC Nos: 70-7001090S/212A/L32018 Requested Action: The United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) has requested a revision to its Fundamental Nuclear Materials Control Plan to allow dimensional measurement calculations to determine system volumes. A similar change may be necessary to the Compliance Plan issue related to the FNMCP. We would like your staff to review the proposed changes, prepare questions to request additional information (if necessary), and prepare input for a compliance evaluation report (similar to a safety evaluation report). The schedule for completion of this amendment is June 20,1997. All contact with USEC should be through the Project Manager.
