TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE REQUEST FOR q DECOMMISSIONING FUNDING ASSURANCE FOR THE GASEOUS DIFFUSION PLANTS Project: The United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) recently initiated cancellation proceedings to its existing Payment Surety Bond (Bond) for its Decommissioning Funding Program via Aon Risk Services (Attachment 1). USEC intends to replace the Bond (Attachment 2).

Casework /RITS: 70-7001 or 70-7002 212A Reauested Action; Per Amy Bryce's May 5,1999, discussion with Louis Bykoski, I am requesting your assistance in reviewing USEC's proposed change. Because the new Bonds become effective on July 28,1999, I would appreciate your comments on the proposed change by June 15,1999.
