CONGRESSMAN MARKEY'S QUESTIONS The enclosed letter from Congressman Markey requests a hearing to discuss management problems at nuclear power plants. IE has the lead to develop testimony and background. However, NRR is assigned the lead to develop responses to several of the Congressman's specific questions.

The questions assigned to your Division are noted in the enclosure. Please provide responses to me by July 2, 1986. Note that for those questions for which IE has the lead and for which we are to provide appropriate support, input should be sent directly to IE.

"Hard" copies should be provided to me and responses should be communicated via 5520 to Sheila Gindes. Please ensure responses are typed in the standard Q&A format (enclosed).
