- FROM THE AUGUST 13,1997, MEETit4d%E% ENTl4E NRC, NORTHEAST UTILITIES, AND SARGENT & LUNDY ON MILLSTONE UNIT 3 IC WP SYSTEM BOUNDARIES The enclosed hand marked drawings were provided to the NRC by Sargent & Lundy (S&L) during an August 13; 1997, publicly observed meeting at the Millstone Nuclear Power Station.

The pu, pose of the meeting was for S&L and the NRC to outline the system boundaries for the Auxiliary Building Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning System (Aux. Bldg HVAC),

Supplementary Leak Collection and Release System (SLCRS), and the Diesel Generator, including its support systems (DGX) to Nortteast Utilities (NU). The Aux. Bldg HVAC, SLCRS, and Diesel Building HVAC have a combined system designator of HVX. These systems are being reviewed by S&L as part of the Independent Corrective Action Verification Program (ICAVP) requi ed by an August 14,1996, Confirmatory Order for the Millstone Nuclear Power Station.

To enable the public to have access to these drawings, I request that the enclosed drawings be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room (PDR). Additional copies of these drawings are being forwarded directly to the local PDRs near the Millstone Nuclear Power Station at the Waterford Put;lic Library, in Waterford, CT, and at the Leamlng Resource Center of Three Rivers Community Technical College in Norwich, CT, if you have any questions regarding the disposition of the enclosed drawings, please contact me at (301) 415 - 1332, or e-mail SAR1.
