UPDATE OF STATUS OF PETITION DATED NOVEMBER 25,1996,. S AMENDED BY LETTER DATED DECEMBER 23,1996, BY t PETITIONERS MS. DEBORAH KATZ, MR. PAUL GUNTER AND MS.

BASS!LAKIS PERTAINING TO MILLSTONE, UNITS 1,2, AND 3 AND HADDAM NECK NUCLEAR FACILITIES (TAC NO. M97518)

I called Mr. Gunter on June 3,1999, to identify myself as the project manager assigned to this issue and to brief him on the current status of request 3 of the petition, in summary, I informed him that the Commission had considered the status of all ongoing investigations, including referrals to Department of Justice (DOJ), in its deliberation before they voted on the restart of any of the Millstone units. I also informed him that the request relating to revoking the licenses of the three Millstone units is being deferred until other investigations regarding this petition are complete.

I also called Ms. Katz and Ms. Bassilakis on June 3,1999, and left a message providing the same information I gave to Mr. Gunter on their voice mail including my phone number at work.
