REDIRECTION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FUNDS AND REVIEW OF NEW PROJECTS FOR DSI'S FY 1984 FIN PLAN In response to your memorandum to me of May 16, 1984, PPAS has reviewed the proposed redirections of technical assistance funds and the proposed new projects for DSI's FY 1984 FIN Plan.
The proposed redirections are approved as identified below. Action on your proposed new projects is deferred pending a comprehensive review of all NRR technical assistance projects in light of NRC's request for additional program support funds for FY 1984. The resources which you requested for these new projects are being retained in the DSI FIN Plan, but project approval is on hold pending further review by PPAS. These projects and their proposed fundinw are identified separately below as undecided. Thus, the resources you identified to be returned to the NRR Operating Reserve have been redirected. Note, however, that your request for new projects is 4 reduced by $5K (Salem ATWS Reviews for ors) in the Operating Reactors !
