POSSESSION LIMIT CHANGE (TAC NO. L31121) l

Dear Dr. Erickson:

in accordance with your letter dated October 8,1998, and pursuant to Part 70 to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Materials License SNM-95 is hereby amended to authorize possession of up to 70 pounds (31,752 grams) of solid depleted uranium metal. Accordingly, License Condition 10 is revised to include the date of October 8,1998, and Conditions 6.H,7.H, and 8.H are added to read as follows:

6.H Depleted uranium 7.H Solid metal rod 8.H 31,752 grams All other Conditions of this licente shall remain the same.

l Enclosed are copies of License SNM-95 and the Safety Evaluation Report, which includes the J Categorical Exclusion determination.
