NPDES Permit No. NE 0001244 Noncompliance Report You were notified by telephone on March 27, 1987 of a discharge noncompliance of water above the daily maximum biological oxygen demand (BOD) limitations at Cooper Nuclear Station's (CNS's) 005 discharge on March 19, 1987.

Another sample will be collected for BOD analysis during the first few days of next week. Enclosed is a noncompliance report submitted in accordance with requirements of the station's NPDES permit.

The noncompliance is a continuation of the noncompliance which was first observed on March 5, 1987. Station personnel have attempted to stabilize the system by pumping the cells out and increasing their wasting activities.
