U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION REGION I NOTICE OF SIGNIFICANT LICENSEE MEETING No.03-013 March 12, 2003 Licensee: AmerGen Energy Company, LLC Facility: Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No.: 05000219 Time and Date: 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2003 Location: Lacey Township Municipal Building 818 W. Lacey Road Forked River, New Jersey
Purpose:
The NRC staff and AmerGen Energy management will discuss the results of the NRC assessment of the safety performance at Oyster Creek Nuclear Station for the period January 1, 2002 to December 31, 2002. This assessment is described in the annual assessment letter dated March 4, 2003, and can be found at:
http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/LETTERS/oc_2002q4.pdf.
The agenda for this meeting will consist of an overview of the NRC Reactor Oversight process and a presentation on the annual safety assessment of Oyster Creek Nuclear Station given by NRC staff, followed by an AmerGen management response to the assessment. Information relative to this annual safety performance assessment can be found at:

Following the meeting there will be a brief break followed by a public Q&A session for those who have additional questions for the NRC.
