BOR NO. 8405 KANSAS CITY, MISSOU RI 64ts4 Black & Veatch B&V Project 00001 Quality Assurance QA File 25.8000.21 December 9, 1981 Docket No.: 99900526/80-01 United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region IV 611 Ryan Plaza Drive, Suite 1000 Arlington, Texas 76012 Attention: Mr. Uldis Potapovs, Chief Vendor Inspection Branch Gentlemen:

The purpose of this letter is to revise a portion of the B&V response to NRC Inspection Report No. 99900526/80--01. B&V's initial response to the Inspection Report was provided in our letter dated September 12, 1980, and that response was slightly modified in our letter dated June 3, 1981.

As stated in our June 3 letter, completion of corrective action related to item A(c) of the Inspection Report was delayed to coincide with significant revisions to the computer based drawing list. Work on this effort has been proceeding during the last six months; however, progress has been slower than expected. We now estimate that the revised drawing list for Black Fox Station will not be completed until sonetime in April of 1982. It will then be necessary to verify the large data base prior to the PQCE survey which will complete the corrective action for item A(c) of the NRC Inspection Report. The latter activity is now estimated to be completed by July 15, 1982.

The additional delay in completing the subject corrective action will not adversely af fect any of the ongoing work on the Black Fox Station project since related design and procurement activities have been terminated or suspended pending further licensing developments.

If you have any questions concerning the above matter, please contact our Quality Assurance Manager, Mr. R. E. Blaisdell.

Very truly yours, P . f. Adam xecufivePartner 4 of Power Division FRR:la l 8112290514 811222 PDR GA999 EECBLAV PDR 99900526
