PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF OKLAHOMA A CENTRAL AND SOUTH WEST COMPANY P O box 201/ TULSA. OKLAHOMA 74102 / (918) 583-3611 Public Service Company of Ok1ahoma June 20, 1980 Black Fox Station Units 1 & 2 File: 6212.125.3500.21 L U.S. NRC Docket No. STN50-556, 50-557 Mr. Robert L. Tedesco Assistant Director for Licensing Division of Licensing Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20002

Dear Mr. Tedesco:

Staff Question 221.31 A in the BFS PSAR requests the applicant to provide a list of materials to be used in the construction of fire stops and their characteristics with regard to flammability and fire retardancy. The Staff requested that we establish the date the information would be provided and that the date established be sooner than the submittal of the BFS FSAR.

We responded that we would provide the information prior to July of 1980.

Since providing that response in 1976, we have seen significant changes in the BFS schedule.

Due to the NRC's licensing " pause" on the issuance of construction permits, PS0 believes that it would be more appropriate to provide the requested in-formation one year subsequent to the receipt of a construction permit.

At the time of the TMI related PSAR submittal we will amend the answer to Question 221.31 A accordinglyc Very truly yours, G W. Muench, Manager Black Fox Station Nuclear Project GWM/VLC/dah cc: BFS Service List O 8006800 % 3 CENTRAL AND SOUTH WEST SYSTEM l
