[External_Sender] Re: call-in info for Jan. 16th meeting on Holtec cranes Date: Tuesday, February 25, 2020 11:52:26 PM Thank you so much; I did get the message and was intending to send a note. I was surprised that there were not more comments during the meeting; I am not the most technical person, but had a few thoughts:

Fewer moves sounds good, as each move creates the possibility of something going wrong, but I am am aware of some problems that happened during transfers at San Onofre. This brings concern about whether the system that Holtec is proposing for Indian Point is the same as they used there, and if so how they have addressed possible gouging and scratching of casks. I would want to be sure that this process does not expose workers to more radiation than the current system, and that fuel rods are not moved out of pools prematurely. I think it needs to go without saying that I am concerned that any individuals involved in cask transfers are experienced and well trained.

Thanks again for the opportunity to comment.

Best wishes, Sally Gellert I have caved to e-mail corporate nonsense. This will appear on all my e-mail messages, and I am quite sincere (if bugged by DMARC). Simply let me know if you want to opt out by sending a return e-mail. IDK if this will help my e-mails get through, but I cant think of anything else right now. GRR!

RE: call-in info for Jan. 16th meeting on Holtec cranes Hello Ms. Gellert, I wanted to follow-up my voice message that I left on your phone today. Please let me know if you have any comments or questions regarding the information discussed during the public meeting on January 16. The presentation slides are attached for convenience.

We did not receive any statements from the public during the Q&A period, but wanted to make sure you were offered an opportunity in case there were any technical difficulties on the moderated conference line.
