g ATTACHMENT 2 SUPPLEMENT TO APPLICANT'S STATEMENT OF MATERIAL FACTS

1. Significant quantities of hydrogen can also be generated as the result of a worst-case ATWS including total loss of feedwater (Lauben, p. 3).

2. Sufficient time is available in the event of the occurrence of a worst-case ATWS coupled with total loss of feedwater, in which the operator can take actions such as initiation of boron injection and diagnosis and correction of the failure to scram, teminating the event before the onset of core damage.
