Accession Number ML14260A365), the Tennessee Valley Authority (the licensee) submitted relief request ISI-

45. The licensee is requesting an alternative, pursuant to Title 10 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 50, Section 55a, Paragraph (a)(3)(i), from inservice inspection (ISI) requirements pertaining to Section XI of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, so as to align the three separate ISI interval dates of the three Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant units to a single ten-year inspection interval date.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff requests that the licensee provide the following additional information to support the relief request by January 30, 2015, as agreed to during the clarification conference call on December 15, 2014.

RAI-1 Describe the process for rescheduling the remaining in-service inspections for each unit to meet the proposed modified end of the current ten-year inspection intervals. As examples, show the original schedule for the Category R-A item number 1.16 and Augmented Exam Category D inspections for Browns Ferry Unit 2 for the next two refueling outages and how they would be rescheduled if the inspection interval is modified.
