-, JAMES A. FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT DOCKET NO. 50-333 ATTACHMENT TO LER 79-068/03L-0 Page 1 of I During normal operation while establishing the drywell to torus di fferential pressure requi red by Technical Specifications, the torus water level exceeded the maximum vent pipe submergence limitations as contained in the Technical Spec!'.-

cations Appendix A, Paragraph 3.7. A. I .

The water level was out of speci fication high for a period of nine minutes and the maximum level was 0.33" above that allowed by the specifications. The re fo re , the event did not represent any signi-ficant hazard to the public health and safety.

Operations personnel immediately initiated pump down of the torus to return the level to normal.

In addition, Operations personnel were counseled in the importance of maintaining the water level within specifications during activities such as the establishment of the drywell to torus differential pressure.
