  • r :DOCKETED USNlttl MAY 1 31980 * ) . UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION Before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board In the Matter of ) ) Office of \lie Docketina

& 8tantl\ PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC AND GAS COMPANY, et al. ) Docket No. 50-272 (Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1) * ) (Proposed.Issuance of ) Amendment to Facility ) Operating License ( No. DPR-70) LICENSEE'S REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME AND RESPONSE TO NRC STAFF MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME The Atomic Safety and Licensing Board in the captioned proceeding has required that transcript corrections for the last evidentiary session be submitted by May 14, 1980. Despite the fact. that the Licensee, Public Service Electric and Gas Company, et al., ordered "daily" delivery, the transcript of the March 30, 1980 session was received in counsel's office on May 1, 1980, and as of this writing has not yet been received in Licensee's office in Newark, New Jersey. As a result, .it is necessary to move, pursuant to 10 C.F.R. §2.711, for an extension of the time for the filing.of transcript corrections for the March 30, 1980 hearing session until May 28, 1980. 6! Granting this motion would not be expected to result in any delay inasmuch as the NRC Staff has moved for a similar extension.

The Licensee, of course, has no objection to the Staff's request. May 13, 1980 Respectfully submitted, CONNER & MOORE Mark J. Wetterhahn Counsel for Licensee
