Need to supplement application dated April 3, 2012 (RS-12-036) Importance:                           High  Joe, In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, "Application for amendment of license, construction permit, or early site permit," ExelonGeneration Company, LLC, (EGC), requested an amendment to Appendix A, Technical Specifications (TS), of RenewedFacility Operating License Nos. DPR-19 and DPR-25 for Dresden Nuclear Power Station (DNPS), Units 2 and 3, andRenewed FacilityOperating License Nos. DPR-29 and DPR-30 for Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station (QCNPS),Units 1 and 2. Theproposed change dated April 3, 2012, will add an NRC approved topical report reference to the list of analytical methods inTS Section 5.6.5, "Core Operating Limits Report (COLR)," that are used to determine the core operating limits. NRR has completed the acceptance review for TACs ME8340, ME8341, ME8342, and ME8343 regarding Dresdenand Quad Cities request to add topical report (WCAP-16865-P-A), "Westinghouse BWR ECCS Evaluation Model Updates: Supplement 4 to Code Description, Qualification and Application," to their respective COLRs. We have found that the reference lacks revision numbers and dates needed for new additions to the COLR. In addition, thelicensee must provide the ECCS analysis completed using the new methodology.
