ThisletterisinresponsetoyourFebruary17,1976re-questforinformation concerning AppendixIof10CFR50.Inordertomeettherequirements of10CFR50.34a,weplantosubmitsuf-ficientinformation foranevaluation ofthemeansemployedforkeepinglevelsofradioactivity ineffluents tounrestricted areasas'lowaspracticable.
This letter is in response to your February 17, 1976 re-quest for information concerning Appendix I of 10 CFR 50.In order to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50.34a, we plan to submit suf-ficient information for an evaluation of the means employed for keeping levels of radioactivity in effluents to unrestricted areas as'low as practicable.
Becauseofthevolumeofworkinvolvedinsupplying thisinformation, weplantosubmititintwophases.Thatportionwhichhasbeencompleted byJune4,1976willbesubmitted onthatdate.Theremainder willbesubmitted byOctober1,1976.WealsoplantosubmitrevisedTechnical Specifications.
Because of the volume of work involved in supplying this information, we plan to submit it in two phases.That portion which has been completed by June 4, 1976 will be submitted on that date.The remainder will be submitted by October 1, 1976.We also plan to submit revised Technical Specifications.
