Full compliance with Order EA-12-051 was achieved. NOC-AE-1 5003297Page 1 of 3Compliance Bases for Order EA-12-051 and Status of Requests for InformationBackpqroundOn March 12, 2012, the NRC issued Order EA-12-051, Order Modifying Licenses with Regardto Reliable Spent Fuel Pool (SFP) Instrumentation (Reference 1) to STP Nuclear OperatingCompany (STPNOC). The Order was effective immediately and directed STPNOC to installreliable SFP instrumentation as outlined in Attachment 2 of the Order at South Texas Project(STP). The information provided herein documents full compliance by STPNOC in response tothe Order.ComplianceSTPNOC has installed two independent full-scale lejvel monitors in the STP Unit 1 and Unit 2SFPs in response to Reference 1. Implementation includes diverse level sensors in the SFPs,backup uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and level indicators in the radwaste control roomarea. Modifications and training have been completed and applicable procedures have beendeveloped and are available for use in accordance with the site procedure control program.STPNOC submitted STP's Overall Integrated Plan (OIP) by Reference 2.
