Inspection of Hydraulic Shock Absorbers (Snubbers)
R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No.1 Docket No. 50-244
Dear Mr. Skovholt:
In accordance with your letter of October 1,1973 concerning periodic inspection of hydraulic shock absorbers (snubbers), an inspection of all Ginna Plant snubbers was conducted November 19 and 20,1973.
All units were considered operable and the only deficiency evident was one minor problem detected on Unit No. FW-9 located on the "B" Steam generator feedwater line. The grease fitting on the accumulator was leaking slightly and was replaced with a new fitting on an isolation valve. Fluid leaking from this accumulator since the last inspection was slight and sufficient fluid was available for proper snubber operation.
