Subject:

Inspection of Hydraulic Shock Absorbers (Snubbers)

R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No.1 Docket No. 50-244

Dear Mr. Goller:

In accordance with Mr. Skovholt's letter of October 1,1973, con-cerning periodic inspection of hydraulic shock absorbers (snubbers), an inspection of all snubbers outside of containment was completed on November 13, 1975.

All snubbers were considered operable at this inspection. No fluid additions were necessary. One of the Bergen-Paterson units was observed to have developed wear at its attachment pin. This does not affect its seismic performance. The unit will be repaired when conditions permit.

Very truly yours,

fht $.,--).
