: Bill, Per LIC-109, the NRC staff completed acceptance review Carolina Power & Light Company request for review and approval of Pressure Vessel Shell-to-Flange Weld Analytical Evaluation dated April 13, 2011, for Brunswick Unit 2. The NRC staff finds this analytical evaluation to be acceptable for review in that the submittal reasonably appear to contain sufficient technical information, both in scope and depth, for the NRC staff to complete the detailed technical review and render, in an appropriate time frame, an assessment of the requested action.
The acceptance review may result in some questions that will need to be addressed informally or formally prior to the completion of the staff's final assessment of the analytical evaluation.
