REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ON REQUEST FOR PARTIAL EXEMPTION FROM 10 CFR 50.82(a)(8)(i)(A) AND FOR NOTICE OF ENFORCEMENT DISCRETION FOR ZION NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. J52941 AND J52942)

By letter dated June 4, 2013, Zion Solutions , LLC, submitted a request for approval of an exemption, to the extent necessary, to the provisions of 10 CFR 50.82(a)(8)(i)(A) to confirm its

authorization to use its nuclear decommissioning trust funds to fund the full scope of activities

currently planned in connection with the decommissioning of Zion Nuclear Power Station,

Units 1 and 2. Please review this request and provide a safety evaluation of the proposal.

Mr. Michael Dusaniwskyj has reviewed several r equests from this licensee and is familiar with the site and I request that the review be assigned to him if he is available. A copy of the

submittal is attached.
