3 ENCLOSURE COP 9 TENTS ON PROPOSED TI'RELATED TO IE BULLETIN 79-14 a) ' Item IV.1: In the third line, the word valves should be values.

b) Item IV.1: The final sentence regarding contacts with the VIB is ingppropriate. To avoid a multiplicity of contacts with VIB, generic evaluations should be identified by the inspectors, and IE:HQ should assign specific inspections for the engineering firms involved.

c) Item IV.1: In the second line, add after "... interview one of those persons, if the review was done by on-site personnel or if consultant personnel are available on site."

d) Item IV.2: Rewrite first sentence to read: "If practical, observe a portion of the physical inspections of accessible piping systems performed by the licensees in accordance with Item 2 of the bulletin.

Review licensees' reports of witnessed inspections to detennine ...."

Add at end of paragraph: " Compare results with licensees' results."

e) Item IV.3: Substitute for the words "do the work", the words, " perform a similar inspection".

f) Item VI: The composition of the evaluation task force seems to have gotten confused in typing with respect to RIII, RIV and RV. -
