SUBJECT:
PIPING INTERFERENCE ANALYSIS (A/I H07002116)
In your memorandum dated August 29, 1980, you requested the region to select a cooperative licensee to participate in an effort involving computerized interference elimination on piping analyses.
Since early September, we have been discussing this matter with a number of licensees in Region III, with the same result from each namely, the requirements that have been established since Three Mile Island have created a workload such that manpower is just not available to provide the necessary input. to this request.
This matter was discussed with Mr. Woodruff of your staff, by Mr. Heishman of my staff, and it was agreed that we would not pursue this matter further.
