Dear Mr. Olsen:

The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.10 to Facility License No. CX-10 in response to your request dated June 26, 1978.

This amendment permits the substitution of americium-beryllium neutron sources for plutonium-beryllium neutron sources so that you are authorized to receive, possess and use up to 5 curies (.7835 grams) of americium as contained in sealed americium-beryllium neutron sources for use as a reactor source. This amendment becomes effective 20 days from the date of its issuance.

A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed.
