Summary of Conference Call On the call were:

Rich Rogalski - PEC Ted Huminski - PEC Jeff Poehler - NRR/DE Brenda Mozafari - NRR/DORL Question: Is licensees proposed schedule for Capsule U consistent with draft EPRI Report on Coordinated Reactor Vessel Surveillance Program?

Answer: Yes EPRI recommended withdrawal in year 2020 at 38.36 EFPY and a fluence of 8.11 x 1019 n/cm . HBSEP is withdrawing at 38 EFPY and 7.84 x 1019 n/cm2.

2 Question: What is the difference between the two slightly different neutron fluence values in the submittal of 7.79 x 1019 n/cm2 and 7.84 x 1019 n/cm2?

Answer: 7.79 x 1019 n/cm2 is the RV inner surface peak fluence at 66 EFPY and 7.84 x 1019 n/cm2 is the Capsule U fluence at 38 EFPY. The slight difference in values results because of the rounding of the EFPY to an even number (for the capsule withdrawal EFPY).

Question: Are there any plans to reposition the two reserve capsules to higher flux locations?

Answer: Yes, Note 3 to the table for the proposed schedule on page 3 states that Capsules Y and W will be repositioned after 40 years to accelerated flux positions to provide additional support for license extension.

The Reference to Note 2 next to Capsule Y and W should be to Note 3.

Question: Is HBRSEP participating in an integrated surveillance program since they use Indian Point surveillance data as well as HBRSEP surveillance data in their credibility analysis for the surveillance weld metal in the Capsule X report?

Answer: No, not an integrated surveillance program.

Thanks again for setting up the call, Jeffrey C. Poehler 1
