Acceptance review for VC Summer TSTF-513 RCS leakage instrumentation operability By letter dated May 2, 2011, (ML11124A123), the South Carolina Electric and Gas Company submitted a request to revise the Technical Specifications (TS), in Appendix A to Facility Operating License Number NPF12 for the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit 1. The changes would revise TS section 3/4.4.6 for the Reactor Coolant System (RCS) Leakage Detection Instrumentation consistent with Technical Specification Task Force traveler TSTF513A, Revision 3 titled Revise PWR Operability Requirements and Actions for RCS Leakage instrumentation.
Ifadditionalinformationisneededforthestafftocompleteitstechnicalreview,youwillbeadvisedbyseparatecorrespondence.
The purpose of this email is to provide the results of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs acceptance review of this application. The acceptance review was performed to determine if there is sufficient technical information in scope and depth to allow the NRC staff to conduct a detailed technical review. The acceptance review is also intended to identify whether the application has any readily apparent information insufficiencies in its characterization of the regulatory requirements or the licensing basis of the plant.
The NRC staff has reviewed your application and concluded that it does provide technical information in sufficient detail to enable the staff to proceed with its detailed technical review and make an independent assessment regarding the acceptability of SNCs request in terms of regulatory requirements.
If additional information is needed for the staff to complete its technical review, you will be advised by separate correspondence.

Acceptance review for VC Summer TSTF-513 RCS leakage instrumentation operability By letter dated May 2, 2011, (ML11124A123), the South Carolina Electric and Gas Company submitted a request to revise the Technical Specifications (TS), in Appendix A to Facility Operating License Number NPF12 for the Virgil C.
